Bring the ZING to the MONEYMAKER

The new clothing lines for the summer have arrived, and we browse through malls or online shopping either with our ladies, girlfriends, homeboys, or even ourselves. We want to make sure the “WOW!” comes from compliments or looks from random people who we encounter on a daily basis, so why not focus on the body as a whole?
Yes, men, we do at times skip the most important feature - The MoneyMaker aka The Face. We will simply wet it, squeeze out the bodywash, and apply it to our face thinking we are cleaning it. We take our cars through a deep cleanse, so now let’s take the steps into clearing the dirt from our pores. Here are some skin care tips to make your MoneyMaker feel refreshed and renewed:
  • Cleanse your face - use the bar of soap for the body but buy a cleanser which suits your facial type - oily, sensitive, or dry. We sweat through our glands daily with our sporty activities, so get a grease-cut cleanser you can apply to your face at least once a day.
  • Exfoliate - Yes, gents...DO IT! This will help you get even a closer shave for the ladies to rub on. You can even use certain exfoliators to shave with, if not, rub in your exfoliator on your face and apply your manly shaving cream over it.
  • Moisturize - Get yourself a nice brand of lotion you can use. We get dry skin, so an oatmeal moisturizer will be key. To my friends who have to wear the sunscreen as well, no fear because there are plenty of moisturizer with SPF 15+; use whichever type your skin prefers.
  • Help out your eyes and lips - Spreading some lotion around the eyes won’t hurt either. Who wants the flaky skin around the eyes? Great to see no hands raised :). Lastly fellas, buy some chapstick and put it on both lips; not one and pucker them like the ladies.
I used Askmen.com as a resource. You can also take a quick peek:
Askmen.com - 5 Tips on Skincare

Now gents, you have 5 great tips to apply to your daily routine of fashion! You will now have the complete full package to impress yourselves as well as others!

I know you’re asking yourself: Where can I get these? It’s all coming soon, my friends...

Fashion and Style Boostrap Meeting in Austin

Hi everyone,
I'm sure you all saw Keya's post about the next Style Subgroup meeting being at Cuba Libre at 6:30 on Tuesday. What we still need to say is that this meetings about creating the Austin fashion scene the way YOU want it to be and how we should approach it.
I want everyone who wants to have some input into this topic to attend. Please invite anyone you know who should be a part of this conversation. That goes for any designer, boutique owner, journalist, or anyone else who is actually part of the Austin fashion scene. We have so much talent in this town it's crazy. Let's do something with it together.
Our after-party will be at the Tribeza Fashion Week launch at by George. They are looking forward to hosting us, but unfortunately, Matt and Katy will be out of town. They will join the next round of the conversation.
Please make a point of attending. --Allen Beuershausen

Why is clothing alteration important for even guys?

You might think that only ladies need alteration! You are wrong. Guys need alteration as much. About a quarter of my customers at my tailor shop (http://TailoredbyDesign.com) are men. The other quarter don't know why they need alteration services. My goal is to give you some tip and show you some reasons here in this article.

Looking and feeling your best could give you an edge in your social and business life. To look your best, you should invest in clothing alteration. You might come across someone who always look great! Men clothing options are very limited to polo shirts, tshirts, and button down shirts. The difference comes down to the fitment. Let me give you an example. You have invested on a Prestij shirt and getting ready to go out. The shirt seems a little too long for your body. To solve this issue, you decide to tuck it in and you look like you're ready to go to a work meeting. This could change your night!

These are some images of people needing alterations:

1- Jeans are too long on this image. It should just come staight down instead of having so many boulges

2- Have you paid attention how a nice fitted suit looks like in compasion to a large suit?

provided by http://www.huffingtonpost.com, "Is 5'7" John McCain Dressing For Defeat?"

and see how this one looks much better.

Stay away from long tshirt, polo shirt, and button down shirts. For example if your polo shirt is longer than 5 inches over your pants, there is a chance that it's too long. You can always ask the sales representative in stores to see if you need alterations.

Go for quality not quantity. Having a few nice shirts and pants that actually fit you right and look great on you is far better than having so many clothes that looks awful on you.

Over Plucked men don't look well put together

Over-plucked men don't look well put together. Apparently It's easy for some guys to get carried away. Overdone and over-plucked guys are like women with too much makeup. Don't over do it! Get advice from your hairstylist! If you live in Austin or Los Angeles let me know and I'll refer you to a good hair stylist.
